Dr. Mohamed El-Ghanem, Professor of Cardiac Surgery and Ain Shams University. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from Ain University in 2000 with an excellent grade with distinction. He was selected to the Department of Cardiac Surgery and Ain Shams University as a resident physician from 2002 to 205, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Surgery and was appointed as a lecturer in the department. From 2005 to 2009, he obtained a doctorate in cardiac surgery and was promoted to a position in the department. He went to the United Kingdom from October 2009 until December 2012, where he worked as an assistant fellow at Liverpool Hospital and James Cook Hospital in England. He obtained a fellowship from the Royal College of Surgery in the specialty of surgery and thoracic surgery for one year. In 2012, he returned to work as a lecturer in the Department of Cardiac Surgery and Ain Shams University, and continued his promotion until he became a professor in the department in October 2023. Dr. Mohamed El-Ghannam is considered one of the pioneers of minimally invasive cardiac surgery in Ain Shams. He is also the head of the aortic surgery team between Ain Shams University and Royal Brobton Hospital in England. Many administrative positions, such as director of the cardiac surgery unit and at the Ain Shams Heart Academy, then managing the cardiac surgery unit and at Ain Shams Specialized Chest Hospital. He also worked as head of the department.

Cardiac surgery at the Saudi Hospital, Cairo branch, from 2016 until 2020. He currently works as director of the Ain Shams University Academy. Dr. Mohamed Al-Ghannam has gained experience in cardiac surgery for boys and has many published researches in this field. He is also a member of many international and local doctors in the specialty of cardiac surgery, such as the American Society of Cardiac Surgery, the American Society of Cardiac Surgery, the Egyptian Society of Cardiac Surgery, and the Egyptian Society of Surgical Medicine.
